Before publishing
- Check that each medical claim is supported by a topic-relevant, credible source.
- Confirm local applicability, recommendation dates and any age-specific guidance.
- Have a qualified clinician review clinical content; record name, credentials, scope and date only after review occurs.
- Use plain language and non-stigmatising, inclusive examples.
- Check for false certainty, guaranteed outcomes, unsupported statistics or unverified treatments.
- Include relevant safety guidance, limits and when to seek care.
- Add meaningful alt text and test headings, contrast, keyboard access and mobile display.
- Verify all links and review date-sensitive information on a schedule.
Important: This internal checklist does not count as clinical review itself.
